Wharton Women in Business Conference:

 

Shaz spoke at the Wharton Women in Business Conference in Philadelphia last week where she was featured in a fireside chat moderated by Lizann Rode. Shaz talked about being a female senior executive and some of the challenges she’s encountered over her career, focusing on what she calls the Superpowers of Ceiling Smashers. It was wonderful to be in the company of so many smart, energetic, engaging women in business.

Cornell University’s Society of Women in Business:

 

Recently Shaz made the trek from San Francisco to Ithaca, NY to speak at her alma mater Cornell University. The event was sponsored by Cornell’s SWIB or Society of Women in Business. Shaz talked about her career progression from scientist to consultant to e-business builder to retail/apparel executive and shared some advice with the students. Thanks to Kelly Jahnsen and her team for organizing such a great event!

The closer book launch in manhattan:

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate and support the NYC book launch party for The Closer! It was awesome to have a full crowd of so many friends, classmates, family members, and ceiling smashing executives attend the party and the reading. THE CLOSER BOOK LAUNCH IN san francisco:

Thanks to everyone who helped make the SF book launch party for The Closer a big success! We had a blast at Sens Restaurant overlooking San Francisco’s Embarcadero on a beautiful sunny day. There were cocktails, tasty appetizers, and lots of great conversations as well as a couple of readings by author Shaz Kahng.
